Why most hardscape fails (and why ours doesn't)
Thin base
Budget installs use 2-3 inches of base. We use 6-8 inches of compacted crushed stone, screeded flat in lifts — the only way to get no settling on Aledo clay.
No edge restraint
Without a concrete or steel edge holding the field, outer pavers shift and gap within a year. Non-negotiable on every job we do in Aledo.
No drainage
